Mercy is at the heart of the Gospel. It is through
God's great mercy to us that we can show mercy and
compassion to others. Covenant Chapel is involved in
our local community through these following
organizations.
Christmas In April/Rebuilding Together Every year, Christmas In April teams up
with nonprofit organization, Rebuilding Together, to
rebuild homes and revitalize communities. Christmas
In April, along with 200 other affiliates, provides
free rehabilitation and critical repairs to the
homes of low-income, disabled, and aging Americans
so that they can remain in their homes for as long
as possible.
Love146 Love146 works toward the abolition of child
sex slavery and exploitation through efforts of
prevention and aftercare. There are many child
slaves that are rescued from bondage and slavery by
other human rights agencies around the world, but
there are very few aftercare facilities to place
them in for much needed therapy and restoration.
Love146 raises funds to to open up safehomes around
the world to provide rescued children a safe
environment for recovery and education. Love146 also
raises awareness to start a movement of modern day
abolitionists to be a voice for children unable to
speak for themselves.
Hartford Rescue Mission The Hartford Rescue Mission exists to offer
help, hope and the life-changing message of God's
love in Jesus Christ to the homeless and needy of
Central Connecticut. By sharing the Gospel of Jesus
Christ and by teaming up with local churches,
organizations and individuals to provide meals for
the hungry and homeless, the Hartford Rescue Mission
serves to meet the spiritual, social and physical
needs of men, women and children.
